As we celebrate Women’s History Month, it feels only fitting to shine a spotlight on a woman who has left an indelible mark on so many people, including myself — Barbara Lang.
Barbara’s professional achievements are nothing short of extraordinary. From transforming the DC Chamber of Commerce into the region’s most powerful business organization to leading corporate strategy at Fannie Mae and IBM, her career is a masterclass in leadership. But what truly sets Barbara apart is her ability to inspire, mentor and uplift those fortunate enough to know her.
I count myself among those fortunate individuals. Barbara has been more than a client or business partner — she has been a guiding force in my own professional journey. Her ability to navigate change with both strength and grace is a hallmark of her leadership, and her willingness to share that wisdom with others has made her an invaluable mentor.
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned from Barbara is the power of resilience.
