The Town of Merrillville, Indiana, sits at a strategic crossroads in Northwest Indiana, in the Chicago metro area. With rapid growth and a business-friendly climate, the community had plenty to offer—but lacked a concise, high-impact marketing piece to communicate its competitive advantages to site selectors, developers and prospective investors.
The Approach
The Boyer Group partnered with Merrillville’s leadership to design a one-page flyer that distilled the town’s strengths into a format that was visually compelling, easy to digest and strategically targeted.
We began by identifying the top decision-making criteria used by economic developers and site selectors—workforce availability, infrastructure access, business climate and quality of life. Then we worked closely with Merrillville to prioritize local data, streamline messaging and develop a bold layout that would stand out at events, in meetings and online.

The Result
The flyer has already been approved for use by Merrillville’s town leadership and is being deployed across marketing channels, from print materials to digital outreach. It is also being used as a foundational tool for regional engagement and prospective business conversations.
